Choosing the Best Virtual Wedding Platform

So, you’ve finally made the decision to go virtual and live stream your wedding. Congrats! Now that that step is out of the way, it’s time to figure out which platform best fits your needs and wants. Check out what awesome ways you can digitally share your love with those near and far, including our very own LoveStream platform!

LoveStream, Virtual Weddings by Bustld

You know we couldn’t not highlight ourselves as a top choice for your virtual wedding. We know we may be a little bias, but with our high-definition streaming platform you can share your day with an unlimited number of guests and with our Charlotte-based tech help, you have nothing to worry about.

Pro

Totally customizable platform that feels special and personalized, not like another work call or social media post.

Con

Limited interaction with your guests. (Though given how some of our relatives act at weddings, one-way wedding video streaming might be a plus).

Instagram Live

As one of the top social media platforms for the younger generation, it’s no question why some couples are turning to Instagram Live to stream their weddings. If you already planned to share pieces of your wedding on the platform, why not stream is there, too? Its simplicity is a driving factor for couples deciding.

Pro

You can set a “countdown” to the event via your story, so guests can get a notification before the events starts.

Con

The screen is rather small and video quality is sometimes questionable. Guests who do not have Instagrams might struggle to participate.

Facebook Live

Even though Facebook has become lower on totem pole of social media platforms, it is still a viable option to stream your virtual wedding. Also, chances are your grandparents have a Facebook but not an Instagram.

Pro

Your guests can interact with you by sending messages and virtual reactions.

Con

You have to have someone to turn it live and move the camera if you need different angles.

Google Hangout

If you are looking for an option outside of social media, Google Hangout might be a good choice for you to consider. You can connect with anyone with just one click on your screen.

Pro

The privacy of not being on social media.

Con

You can only invite up to ten friends for a group call.

Zoom

Of course, there’s the option of Zoom. Nearly everyone and their moms are familiar with Zoom these days, so it makes it an obvious choice. But remember, this is your wedding and if you are on Zoom frequently for work, you don’t want your wedding to feel like a work call.

Pro

You can interact with your guests and set up rooms.

Con

You have to have a host that has to admit each guest and you are only allowed up to 100 guests. Some guests might struggle to download the Zoom app to be able to participate.

 The Choice is Obvious

Again, we likely have a tiny little bit of bias about why we’re the best virtual wedding platform. But that’s only because we have worked so diligently to create a platform that is so simple, even Grandma can use it.
