Ryan and Samie got married 10 years ago during a hurricane.
Sure, it made for cute wedding photos, but almost half of their guests couldn’t make it at the last minute.
So when the pandemic started and Samie’s wedding planning clients were calling her in a panic because suddenly their weddings were being flipped upside down, the dynamic duo knew just what to do.
They thought about what they would have wanted on their wedding day: a way for all of their friends and family to still help them celebrate, without being glued to a video chat all night.
And LoveStream was born.
A match made in ‘Bama.
Our co-founders were college sweethearts at the University of Alabama. These two took off to the Big Apple after college, starting their careers in New York City. Which is where they got married and that hurricane comes into play…
They tied the knot in 2011 on the day that Hurricane Irene hit New York City. Ten years later, they are back in the south, running LoveStream from Charlotte, North Carolina.
Nearly a decade in the wedding industry.
Before there was LoveStream, there was Bustld. And before Bustld, Samie was a successful wedding planner.
Bustld was started about 5 years ago as a way to help vendors and couples find each other based on fit - like a dating app. Samie and Ryan wanted to give the wedding industry a much-needed push into the 21st century, utilizing all of the technology we have to modernize the wedding planning process.
Bustld filled a gap in the market, quickly spreading across the Southeast and eventually going national in 2021.
Putting technology at the forefront.
Their love of bringing technology into the wedding planning process made it an easy decision to solve the problem of live streaming when COVID-19 hit in early 2020.
LoveStream created a way for couples to live stream their weddings to an unlimited number of guests, without having to rely on Facebook, Zoom or any other confusing, unreliable platform.
They wanted the product to be “Grandma-proof.” Essentially, they wanted an all-encompassing, all-inclusive way to live stream weddings that was easy for couples, and even easier for the wedding guests - AND didn’t cost a fortune.
Two years and 500+ weddings later, LoveStream accomplished just that.

Bustld
Think of Bustld like a match-making service. We match couples and vendors based on fit, not on who pays the most.
For couples, you get expertly matched with vendors who fit your budget, style and needs.
For vendors, you only hear from couples who are highly considering booking your services, ending the ghosting and go-nowhere inquiries.
