Everyone needs to toot their own horn every now and then, and today, we’re tooting ours! The LoveStream team has been working so hard to help couples everywhere live stream their weddings, even if they didn’t know that was an option when they started planning!

The New York Times

We were featured in a New York Times article published on November 7 all about backyard weddings. It’s fitting, given that a large chunk of our couples are live streaming backyard weddings! The article particularly focuses on how wedding vendors, including us, have adapted to “pandemic weddings” and have been able to continue servicing clients, whether their weddings have 200 guests or 10 guests. Samie, one of our co-founders, said in the article, “We heard too many horror stories of people trying to do it themselves and grandma couldn’t figure out how to mute herself and someone forgot they were on video camera.”

As the article touches on, LoveStream makes it simple and affordable to live stream your wedding.

Spectrum News

On November 5, we had a team from Spectrum News come to our Charlotte office and interview Ryan and Samie Roberts, our founders and the brains behind LoveStream.

Our favorite part of the article is this quote from Samie about the stress of trying to have a Zoom Wedding, “It’s just too many faces, it’s too complicated. We wanted it to feel like a wedding. We wanted it to feel special, we didn’t want it to be just another work conference.” Ryan continues the sentiment, saying, “We actually will work with you leading into the wedding to understand the timeline of events and what you’re looking to capture. Then we do all the camera switching, and that’s part of the real magic of this.”

Charlotte Magazine

Finally, on October 28,  Charlotte Magazine published a piece about Mark and Catherine, one of our most memorable LoveStream couples who married on a boat in the middle of Lake Norman earlier this year – and live streamed the whole event! Check out this excerpt from the article:

“It’s not an ideal situation for anybody but having this option to include your loved ones is a great alternative,” Samie says. As of early August, she and Ryan had already booked 60 weddings for fall, and it’s a trend they believe will be around for a while. “There’s always a grandma who can’t make it or a friend about to give birth,” she says. “Micro-weddings were becoming popular before COVID-19, and now they’re popular by default.”

As you heard from one of our co-founders, there will always be a reason to add a virtual element to your wedding!
